At the beginning of June David held meetings in Poprad and Kosice Slovakia. He spoke about the power of faith in Jesus Christ. Thousands attended. Almost all the unbelievers gave their lives to Christ – including drug addicts and alcoholics – and many, including many men, were powerfully healed. David found the people of Slovakia very warm, loving, and open to receive the love of God into their lives. The local secular TV filmed the opening meeting in Poprad, and afterwards interviewed David, the organisers of the meetings and some of the participants. The TV reporters reacted positively to the way David called the people to repent and prayed with them. David himself said, “The reaction of the TV is so significant, it is a sign of God’s favour on Slovakia. My heart is deeply touched at the favour I have seen extended to the churches here, even the government accepting responsibility to recompense the believers for persecution under communism. It is the grace of God.” The second night in Kosice was also filmed by STV (State Slovak TV), and a personal interview with David was again recorded.

The pastors in Kosice have a vision to shake the whole of Slovakia and have begun to plan for a nationwide crusade next year with David as the evangelist.
