'"If I can just touch His clothing, I will be healed." Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel that she had been healed! Jesus realised at once that healing power had gone out of Him, so He turned around and asked, "Who touched Me?" Then the woman came and fell at His feet. He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. You have been healed."' (Mark 5)

With Jesus it is never too late; if only you will come to Him and believe that He can work the miracle. I'll tell you one reason why Jesus delayed in going to Jairus' house. It was the other woman that He healed; He didn't deliberately stop to heal her, but the woman was so impatient, so desperate, she said, "If I can just touch His coat; I am not even going to stop Him; I am not going to delay Him; He doesn't need to know who I am, if I can just touch His coat, I know, I know, that He will heal me!" Do you understand what Jesus stopped? Here was a woman who believed. She had the disease twelve years, spent all her money on doctors, nobody could help her, but she believed in Jesus. She believed in miracles. She knew if she could just get to Jesus, just touch His clothes; "instantly", she said, "I know I will be healed". She touched Him. She was healed. And then Jesus knew; nobody can come to Jesus except He knows; He knew, and He took the time to converse and help her. I want to tell you, if you will come to Jesus, He is going to take the time to deal with you. However many come to Him, thousands or millions, the numbers don't matter, Jesus knows you as an individual. If you will touch Him, if you will reach out to Him, He knows you, He knows who you are, and He is going to take the time to help you today.

But the tragedy is with Jairus. Because of the delay, his daughter is dead. I can feel how his heart sank. It is too late. But now Jesus is speaking to Him. Jesus is talking to everyone reading this. Whether you have had a lifetime of pain and suffering like that old woman, whether you are a father or mother, or whether you are a child, I want to tell you that Jesus is speaking to you tonight, and He wants to say to every one of you, "Don't be afraid, just trust Me." But how difficult it is to trust when the girl is dead. But that was only the first part of the problem. Jesus continued with Jairus to his house. When they arrived it was even worse. The house was filled with sad people because the girl was dead. Jesus just looked at them and asked, 'Why are you crying? The girl isn't dead, she is only asleep.' And just like so many people today, what was the reaction of the mourners? They laughed at Jesus. Can you understand? They laughed in His face. "Don't be crazy. We watched her die. Look, here she is. We cradled her in our arms. We watched her life slip away. She is dead." - That was reality, but Jesus changes reality. Jesus changes lives. God opens prison doors: He sets the prisoner free. And God raises the dead. Jesus went to this girl; the Bible is so clear, He just put the people out of the room; He went to the dead girl, and this is what He said to her, "Get up, you're not dead." The girl got up and she walked. She was not dead. She was alive. It was a miracle. Jesus wants to work a miracle for you, all He asks is, "Only believe".
