TV-EVANGELISM SOFIA, BULGARIA

Our evangelism in Bulgaria was held in the most prestigious hall in Sofia – thousands attending, hundreds repenting, outstanding miracles of healing – and was later broadcast to the whole nation on secular TV. Many reported being healed of kidney and urinary diseases, many with tumours said their symptoms had gone. Two women, both deaf in their left ears, both known to the pastors present and checked by them, were outstandingly healed.

During David’s visit to Sofia there was also a formal launch of the new Bulgarian edition of his book, ‘Czech-Mate’, the story of his Bible smuggling behind the Iron Curtain, which began in Bulgaria and led to his eventual imprisonment in Czechoslovakia. Literary critics and historians, as well as local pastors were invited. Several spoke of the ‘heroes of faith’ of those difficult days under persecution – a reminder that today we must use the freedom, not to sit at ease, but to evangelise with all the strength that we have.
